  1. Super video to get a feel for what digital marketing is like,

Have a dilemma and would like to hear your input if it isn’t any trouble. (I’ll try to keep it short so it doesn’t feel like work😅)

The university I’m applying to has two marketing programs. One is a communications degree, other is business economy degree.

The communications one teaches a lot of the creative aspects that drew me to marketing in the first place collaborative projects, graphic design. Aswell as professional writing and communication. Which I feel is an important real word skill. But
It lacks any economy or analysis class.

The marketing economy programme on the other hand, lacks all the creative parts nor does it have professional writing. But a lot of economics, data and analysis.

The communications degree seems to teach the skills most useful for the positions I want to apply for (PR, working with graphics on a campaign) Still I know the analysis is a big part of any marketing position.

Basically my question is, how much would the lack of analysis and economy matter for those types of positions, Would the communications degree seem unserious to employers.

End of the day it’s working in marketing that I’m after, so you can answer honest.

  2. This video reflects ugly reality of current work culture. You never mentioned what your job duties and mission but…By lunch time you checked your emails and wasted time on to-do list, chat with Gary? You listen to the music all the time and it helps to focus??? Unreal. Of course I don't know you pay structure. But I bet there is no direct correlation between end results and your compensation as you just casually work… not pushing it. Your eyes are not lit… you just having some work. I'm sorry, but this is my honest opinion.

  3. so glad i viewed this view. i just received a message for social media marketing position. my main interests is a social media coordinator although in school we learned many different things so its kind of challenge to understand different positions and what they qualify for, coordinating is really an eyecatcher for me but i tend to doubt myself i want to be good at what i do most definitely. your confidence definitely boosted me.
