If you have the figure you wanted then you use ratio analysis. example: if you want to know how a company utilize its fixed asset to generate sales, you could use the fixed asset turn over ratio (sales/fixed asset). However, this figure will be more meaningful if you could then compare with the figure from previous year or its competitor/industry. Hope it helps.

  5. @PeppaFreeman Hi.. I am working on credit worthiness analysis video and it will talk a little bit about measuring asset quality. But in my opinion, asset utilization analysis using financial statement is, in general, fairly easy. what you need to do is basically look at the income statement to have a performance figure (Sales/ EBIT/anything suit your analysis) and then look at balance sheet to have the asset figure you want to measure (Could be total asset/any specific asset).
