  3. Very well done – congratulations. The position of a Controller really varies, depending on the size of the company and the way the company is financed. But as a general rule, the CFO is focusing more on the Balance Sheets, the financing, and the relationship with banks and investors. The Controller's role is to focus on Profit and Loss activities. He works closely with operating management and develops projects that focus on the ongoing improvement of the companies productivity and profitability.
This requires that he has a solid understanding of the operating processes. I, therefore, recommend everybody who plans to become a Controller, that he is looking for a job in an industry with which he can identify, is familiar with, and will enjoy being involved in the daily operating activities.
I am passionate about Photography and Radio communication. Which not only helped me to become very successful as CEO and Corporate Controller in European and US major public companies, but it also turned my job into my hobby.

  4. Personally I like doing 1, 5 and 10 out of all responsibilities that a controller has. Can you make a video about internal controls and how to implement them? Thank you for this video!

  8. Thanks for the video… it is really helpful. However, at my work place, though my title is only Finance Manager and reports to CFO and along there's a Financial Controller, I see that I actually cover all the scope you mentioned. May you advice what's the intrinsic difference of Finance Manager vs Financial Controller and expectations? Thanks dear!

  9. Thank you! I love analytics, budgeting and forecasting. This helped me to analyze my skills and knowledge and has given me the confidence to pursue a career as a corporate controller.
